Book of Demons
The Book of Demons is the bedtime story companion to be transported in sleep apnea, incubi, parasomnias, sleep paralysis and hopefully, if the prayers are answered, near-death experience. The daemons/demons are illustrated with a corresponding sigil and a poem specific to each, like the universe with no beginning and no end. Based on the Pseudomonarchia Daemonum, The Lesser Key of Solomon and the Infernal Dictionary by Jacques Auguste Simon Collin de Plancy. With additional Maxime Taccardi twist, poetry and blood.

Speed: Immobile. (is a book), can at least amplify the user's speed to Massively Hypersonic (contains Nevan, who can attack and react to lightning), to Infinite, (grants access to the powers of the Ripper, who can travel across the infinite Demon World in a day), at max can amplify the user's speed to Immeasurable, (allows the use of Pluto, whose speed bypasses and travels along the dimensional axis of time and is faster than his Ripper's.)
Navigation is made simple by the inclusion of a mini-map and footprints that enable easy retracing of your path. A checklist of valuable items and their vicinity ensures that no plunder is left unplundered. One type of treasure that is especially useful are item cards. These are often found on bookshelves and can be placed into any free slots.
Not much is known about the appearance of each book, but the book containing E.N.D. is shown as a slightly tatty volume with various rips and tears in the cover. It has Zeref's name written in large black letters on the cover and the spine. On the front cover, there is a picture of a glowing eye in darkness with several wavy lines spiraling inwards towards it.[1]
The books contain knowledge on the Black Arts which Zeref used. Many of the spells known to come from the books involve the creation of Demons. Each Demon is summoned by their own book. Warrod Sequen speculates that one specific book, the book of the most powerful of Zeref's Demons, E.N.D., may be in the possession of Tartaros,[8] a Dark Guild whose members consist of Demons originating from the books,[9] also known as Etherious.[10]
The Flexiscope is a clever mechanic and something I wish more games of its kind included. With most of the action taking place in dungeons, at the start of every journey into the catacombs you choose how long you want your experience to last for via a slider. This then feeds back an accurate timer for the next run based on your play style and how thorough you are in going through the dungeons. It works perfectly too and shows the intent to accommodate every type of gamer, from a quick 10 minute burst of action to a methodically paced hour slaying demons in the foul depths of hell.
Book of Demons is indeed a dark fantasy hack & slash, but unlike other action role-playing games, it's set in the pop-up book world of Paperverse. The paper-cut universe is one of the hallmarks of Return 2 Games - a series of mid-core games, inspired by the early golden days of PC gaming. Book of Demons is the first installment of the Return 2 Games series.
The Temporal Demon Spirit Book is a powerful and mysterious book that fell into the Draconic Ruins Realm along with a severely wounded Supreme Expert. On the edge of death he ran into the six ancient masters and attempted to steal their soul essences to treat his wounds, however they fought back and in the end were able to defeat him. Before he died, he tore the Temporal Demon Spirit Book to shreds. Most of the pages streaked across the sky and disappeared, however eight remained in their hands, which were divided amongst themselves.[1]
Nie Li suspects that it was the Temporal Demon Spirit Book that allowed him to be reborn back in time as his thirteen year old self. When he awoke the book was no longer with him.[2] He later traveled to the Desert Palace deep in the Endless Desert to find the book, but the palace was in ruins and the Temporal Demon Spirit Book was not there.[3] The book has its own intelligence and is constantly searching for its master.[4]
After meeting Yu Yan and discovering about the Time and Space Spiritual God, Nie Li suspects that the book is tied to him.[8] Because the book does not appear to be restrained by the same Laws as the rest of this world, Nie Li also believes that it is not originally a part of this world.[9]
After Yu Yan recovers her memories, she recalls that the Temporal Demon Spirit Book is hidden on the Tiny World. The seal hides its aura from the Sage Emperor. Though it is risky, she plans to use the Godslayer artifact, the Myriad Ancestor Sword, to break open the seal and reveal the book's location.[10] Even though the Temporal Demon Spirit Book is far more powerful than the Myriad Ancestor Sword, it is still able to conceal the book's aura from the Sage Emperor as long as they find it before he can.[4]
There are eight pages that were missing from the book in Nie Li's previous life. These remnant pages have the ability to nourish his soul realm just as the Temporal Demon Spirit Book did.[11] By allowing the vine to directly absorb one of the remnant pages, he is able to cultivate for the equivalent of twenty years in a moment. This is very similar to the Temporal Demon Spirit Book's ability in his previous life.[7] So we can supposed that the vine inside Nie Li might be a part of the Temporal Demon Spirit Book. About the eighth page, we know that during the endless desert journey, Ye Ziyun remembered her death in her previous life; this could be explained by the fact that she may have a page like Xiao Ning'er sealed in her body.
The Temporal Demon Spirit Book has powerful inscription patterns engraved in it. By pouring ones soul force into the book, if their soul force is strong enough to resonate with a pattern, they can activate these separate abilities. Even with only a remnant page of the Temporal Demon Spirit Book, Nie Li is able to activate some of these abilities.[14]
During his past life, Nie Li discovered the power of time related to the book, allowing him to stayed inside the "stationary space-time realm" within it for hundreds of years, training and reading millions of books. This is one of the reasons his knowledge of inscription patterns, alchemy, and cultivation methods is so vast.[15] While training in this separate space Nie Li was able to transcend legend rank to reach the Heavenly Fate Realm. After being reborn he discovered that this was because the space inside the book was not structured into the Power of Law.[9]
Parents need to know that Book of Demons is a downloadable dungeon crawling adventure for Windows PCs. The action is a point-and-click driven game where players take on the role of a hero trying to save the world by fighting demons and varying levels of hell. Combat's a key element of the gameplay as you use skills that you gain from picking up cards to defeat monsters. But while you're clicking on enemies to "attack them," no blood or gore's shown, and neither are attacks. When enemies are killed, they fade into the ground. Otherwise, there's no inappropriate content in the game.
Selling for the price of 250 shillings. Be wary when deciding to purchase this book, as selling it will not give back nearly as much as what has been spent. Selling for only 13 silver, this gag item is not something everyone will collect due to its low usage. Sold in the Flowering Orchard, a merchant demon named Naphta is selling it. Flowering Orchard in particular is located in East Luterra and is home to many quest lines throughout the game.
To find Naphta, go to the very end of Flowering Orchard. Flowering Orchard has a lot of paths, twists, and turns. Naphta is relatively easy to find, as she doesn't lie in one of these turns or paths, but rather the end at the top. She alternatively has a quest that can be completed but sells the book too. She also sells the laugh emote for 6,000 shillings. Unlike the Book of Demons, the laugh emote can be used at any point by reading the book obtained in your inventory. The Book of Demons can not be read, as it still has no use at all. Back in Season 1, the book could be used to obtain a weapon, but since has been gathering cobwebs in player inventories. Maybe someday, there will be an update discussing the Book of Demons and its use.
This book is an allegory that shows life as full of struggles and doubts as we make our way to our spiritual destination. I fully related to the main character, Much-Afraid, and her insecurities. This book helped me to focus less on my fears and more on trusting a loving God who wants to help me to overcome my insecurities and fears. 041b061a72
